Edgar nominated author, Joel Goldman

It's a long way from Michigan to North Carolina. But is it far enough to get a new start? Max Porter was trying to escape the past and the past comes after him. Not his past but the ghost of a private investigator who had died years ago. Could this old office really be haunted? Was Max losing his mind?

Southern Bound is a fun and interesting. Not only was I entertained I learned a few things about Winston-Salem. The story was very engaging and kept me reading. I kept wondering how all of it was going to be tied together when it involved the establishment of Salem, the tobacco companies and WW II POWs. I definitely recommend Southern Bound if you like mysteries.
